Name: Alyx Peterson
Education/Professional Background: Willamette College of Law, J.D. expected Dec. 2021, B.A. ’15 in history and political science from The George Washington University. I worked as a paralegal for a small medical malpractice law firm in Portland for four years before starting law school.
Hometown: West Linn, OR
What brought you to Crag?: I am the current Sullivan Land Use Fellow for Willamette and came to Crag as part of my rotation to learn about the different aspects of land use law in Oregon.
What are your environmental/legal interests?: My main legal interests are land use and transportation planning. As a life long Oregonian and lover of mass transportation, the struggles of the area to plan for car alternative transportation are something that I am really interested in working towards solving.
What will your work focus on while at Crag?: My work while at Crag will be focused on the land use issues being faced in Oregon and I am looking forward to exploring all the different facets of land use.
Favorite book: My current obsessions are Bad Blood by John Carreyrou and The Homevoter Hypothesis by William Fischel.
