Name: Bella Klosterman
Education/Professional Background: I am a rising Junior at Skidmore College, pursuing a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Spanish.
Hometown: Portland, OR
What brought you to Crag?: I learned about Crag through a research project I conducted on the Portland Harbor Superfund Site. I was impressed by the breadth of Crag’s work, which led me to look into summer volunteering.
What are your environmental/legal interests?: I am interested in forest conservation, environmental justice, land and community health, environmental policy, and environmental law.
What will your work focus on while at Crag?: Working with the Development and Communications team means I will be writing blog posts on Crag’s victories, client profiles and more. I will also be working on projects in the Spanish language to increase accessibility.
Favorite place to recreate or be in nature: I love Oregon’s high desert and coast!
Favorite book: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer or The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
