Undergraduate Intern - 2018
Name: Catherine Rocchi
School: Dartmouth College
Hometown: Harrison, NY
What brought you to Crag?: Dartmouth’s fossil fuel divestment campaign opened my eyes to the way that major fossil fuel companies have knowingly worked to distort climate science findings, deceive the public, and block policies designed to hasten our transition to a clean energy economy. However, my activist friends also helped me envision a more sustainable, livable, equitable, and beautiful future. It’s clear to me that the attorneys at Crag also work with this vision in mind.
What are your environmental/legal interests?: Climate justice, transition to clean energy, campaign finance reform
Favorite place to recreate or be in nature: The Gunks near New Paltz, NY. Renowned as a climbing Mecca, but also a gorgeous spot for hiking and long bike rides to swimming holes.
Favorite book: The River Why by David James Duncan
Favorite quote: “I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can.” -George Bernard Shaw
