What brought you to Crag? When I first began law school I attended a Northwest Environmental Defense Center event where Crag Staff Attorney Mike Sargetakis talked about his work protecting Oregon’s coast. This was my first exposure to Crag. I have looked up and followed Crag’s advocacy ever since. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to extern with Crag through Lewis and Clark’s Environmental and Natural Resource Practicum.
What are your environmental/legal interests? My environmental/legal interests are public lands conservation. I spent 24 years living seasonally in national parks, where I was able to have a hands-on role in land conservation. I left my National Park career in Search and Rescue to attend law school and further my advocacy for conservation as a lawyer.
What will your work focus on while at Crag?: While at Crag I will be spread between a variety of projects including forest law, water law, and The Coastal Law Project. I will be working under Staff Attorney Mike Sargetakis.
Favorite places to recreate or be in nature: I love recreating in Squamish, BC. The landscape is a wonderful combination of ocean, temperate rainforest, and snow capped peaks.
Hobbies: Taking my cat for a walk, rock climbing, cooking elaborate meals.
