Education/Professional Background: B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University. I currently work as a legal assistant at Metropolitan Public Defender, and before that I was a research associate at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, D.C.
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
What brought you to Crag?: I wanted to get involved in local-level environmental law work before I start law school next fall, and Crag stood out for its multifaceted approach to legal advocacy and its work with the Coastal Law Project.
What are your environmental/legal interests?: I am particularly passionate about coastal law and leveraging law for climate adaptation and resilience.
What will your work focus on while at Crag?: I will be reviewing documents and researching legal issues related to a proposed estuary dredging project on the Oregon Coast and protecting the shorelines of the Willamette River.
Favorite book: Recently, The Overstory by Richard Powers
