Teryn Yazdani
2019 Summer Associate
Name: Teryn Yazdani
School: Lewis & Clark Law School
Hometown: Jackson, MS
What brought you to Crag?: I have been a huge fan of Crag’s work since coming to Lewis & Clark! Its mission statement of providing legal aid to the environment fits perfectly with my reason for coming to law school. When I saw that there was an opportunity last August to interview for a Summer Associate position I jumped at the chance to be a part of such a great team.
What are your environmental/legal interests?: I have a passion for work at the intersection of Climate Change, Environmental Justice, Clean Air, and Public Lands. My dream is to help our country transition from its existing fossil fuel dependence in whatever legal capacity I can
What will your work focus on while at Crag?: I will be focused on a number of different issues including projects involving Oregon land use law and issues surrounding the Jordan Cove LNG Project.
Favorite place to recreate or be in nature: The Columbia River Gorge or literally ANY National Park
Favorite books: Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey and Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer
