Unleash your creativity
with our needle felting workshop

Get creative during the rainy season and join us for a crafting party at Crag! Create your own felted spotted owls with local wildlife artist and stop-motion filmmaker, Suzanne Moulton! While we craft, you’ll learn about Crag’s ongoing efforts to protect our region’s forests and the wildlife that depend on big trees.

All materials and tools provided. Photos of actual real life Oregon spotted owls will provide inspiration. Each participant will receive a kit to create their very own Spotted owl and needle-tool to keep.

WHEN: Saturday, March 16, 2024, 11:00am – 3:00pm
WHERE: Crag Law Center, 3141 E. Burnside St. Portland, OR 97214
Price: $50

What to expect

This workshop is for ages 12 to adult, approximately 4 hours (two 2-hour sessions with a break in the middle).

Needle-felting is an age old tradition using wool and fiber to create fun soft sculptures! This will be a great class to learn all sorts of techniques useful for both beginners and experienced felters!
