Here’s a #ThrowbackThursday for our 12th Victory post! In 2009, Crag worked with the Blue Mountains Biodiversity Project and the Sierra Club - Oregon Chapter to stop the Wildcat timber sale in a remote forest within the Heppner Ranger District of Eastern Oregon.

This harmful project would have included thousands of acres of logging, thinning, road building and pile burning in essential habitat for elk, bear, cougar, wolverine, goshawk, lynx, pileated woodpeckers and many other species!

Rather than defend this project in court, against our legal team and expert declarations by renowned scientists about the ecological harms it would cause, the Forest Service withdrew its project!
